For perfect length measurement and for reproducible positioning, we supply the length measuring system LMS. Two camera systems simultaneously capture the measuring areas. These images are then transferred to the PC via the framegrabber. There, they are processed by the Metric LMS software in one image. On the monitor you can now define the measuring point desired simply by clicking on it with the mouse. A range of options such as reticles, "Point-to-Point", "Point-to-Line", "Circle centre-to-Circle centre" measurements are available for you to select from. Having defined the points, the system automatically calculates the distance. As the camera captures a bigger measuring area, tedious positioning, as is required with generated reticles, is not necessary. |

The cameras slide on a precision guide rail. The smooth running carriages also accommodate the measuring heads. These recognise the exact position and pass this information on to the computer. From the difference measured between the camera position and the measuring points defined by the user, the software calculates the actual distance. In both cameras you can freely choose the magnfication. The variability of this system permits individual measurements with both cameras. The whole spectrum of the Metric measurement software is available. The power required by both cameras is supplied by the framegabber, so separate supply cables are not necessary. On request, drill holes for mounting purposes can be provided on both sides of the support bar to customer specifications. The control PC with TFT monitor is always included in the scope of delivery. Working with the length measuring system LMS is ergonomic, efficient and easy on the eyes. Particularly for repetitive measurement tasks requiring high precision, this measuring system is invaluable. To achieve high repeat accuracy of the measurement results it must be ensured that the temperature remains constant. |
